The RS232 is an asynchronous serial communication system used to connect and control various devices, such as computers and industrial equipment. RS232 hardware can communicate up to 15 m (50 ft) and only the point between the PC serial port and the device, or a 1:1 connection.
However, this product is designed so that it can be connected to multiple equipment away from the 1:1 communication connection.
However, this product (MSD-1200) is limited to two-way communication to one channel of the same 1:2 connection method as the existing RS232C communication connection protocol, and is used only for receiving data output from other equipment on the other channel.

It also supports 100% of the communication speeds supported by RS232 and can also be utilized as an RS232C repeater, without a separate set, to extend RS232 communication connections.

This product has an AC/DC power adapter connected. RS232C extension cable not attached.
